For solids with 100% black, it is recommended to "shim" it (use one more base color) with at least 30% cyan. This will ensure a greater intensity in the black tone. This "shim" is not necessary when using Pantone® colors + black.

When receiving the files, it is important to check that the images are in CMYK scale with a resolution of 300 dpi. If there is any image in RGB standard, it is recommended that you return the file for correct conversion to CMYK.

It is recommended to keep the paper in its moisture-proof packaging (original manufacturer's packaging) until the time of re-trimming*/printing and between one machine entry and another. This way, there will be no exchange of moisture between the paper and the printing room environment, thus avoiding potential printing problems such as out-of-register, cupping, etc. In cases where the printing room is air-conditioned (temperature and humidity controlled), the paper can be left out of the manufacturer's packaging before printing.
*After re-trimming, it must be packaged again, thus protecting it from humidity in the printing room air.

It is recommended not to use low-weight papers in jobs with a high ink load, thus avoiding problems such as transparency and loss of registration. Another important aspect to avoid problems with loss of registration in low-weight papers is the direction of the grain - always ensure that the printer is feeding it correctly.

When using the Pantone® scale, always check that the requested color matches the specified paper type. The Pantone® scale with the letter "U" (uncoated) after the numerical code in each color refers to printing on uncoated papers (e.g. offset paper), just as the Pantone® scale with the letter "C" (coated) refers to printing on coated papers (e.g. couchê).
Using the table called "solid to process" it is possible to obtain the color combination (CMYK) of a given Pantone® color. This resource offers an approximate color match, that is, there will always be a variation, since Pantone® colors are much cleaner than colors obtained within the CMYK scale.
